A bucket list is a perfect way to keep those adventures in sight, and to remind myself that life is for living — not just spinning on the hamster wheel of life. Here’s the ever-growing, ever-changing list of things I want to do to keep life extraordinary…
wales
- Pontcysyllte Aqueduct & Canal World Heritage Site – walk across the world’s highest aqueduct – a stunning UNESCO Heritage Site in North Wales – ACHIEVED! Check out my video.
- Walk the Penrhys Pilgrimage Way – 21 miles from Llandaf in Cardiff to Penrhys in Rhondda Cynon Taf
- Walk the Snowdonia Slate Trail – an 83 mile trail through historical slate mining communities
- Cycle around the Geraint Thomas National Cycle Velodrome of Wales – they do track taster sessions for beginners
- Visit the Mach Loop in North Wales to watch low flying aircraft zip through the valley

england
- Cycle the Bath Two Tunnels route – a 12 mile circular route taking in the UK’s longest cycling and walking tunnel
- Take a bus to my birthplace in Cumbria from my home in South Wales – this is a new challenge that I’ve set myself to only use local buses to travel 267(ish) miles
scotland
- Take the Caledonian Sleeper train – from Scotland to London or London to Scotland
- Cycle National Route 754 – the 63 mile traffic-free Union and Forth & Clyde Canals route runs across central Scotland from Edinburgh to Glasgow
- Watch the Northern Lights in a dark sky area of Scotland
- Visit the Kelpies – the world’s largest equine sculptures
- Watch the Falkirk Wheel – the world’s only rotating boat lift!

europe
- Travel to the Arctic Circle in one of the Scandinavian countries
- Take a pedal powered rail bike (also known as Velorail / Draisine) in a European country – ACHIEVED in April 2026!
- Travel to more European countries that I haven’t visited yet!
worldwide
- Head to Nepal to check out Everest
- Go back to see the Grand Canyon in Arizona, USA
- Visit Antarctica – the only continent I haven’t visited yet!
